MCP at the Table! Build Your Local Server to Tame the Fridge Chaos

There’s something weird in your fridge today… food you can’t recognize, ingredients that look like they’ve been living there since July.

  • Weird Al Yankovic -

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to tame that chaos with your very own local MCP server:
  • Resources: see what’s actually available so you can finally answer “what’s in this fridge?” without fear.
  • Tools: manage your inventory, add or consume ingredients, and stop the mold from growing… well, mostly.
  • Prompts: ask targeted questions like “What vegetarian dish can I make in under 30 minutes?” or “Is this liver cake or woolly mammoth steak?”.

By the end of the session, you’ll walk away with a fully working MCP instance ready to help you manage meals, inventory, and maybe even your roommate’s mysterious leftovers, no carbon dating required. It’s your fridge, your rules…

Alexandre Trigueros

I started working in tech in 2007 and strived since to become "better" whether it's about software craftsmanship, architecture, agility or tooling.
Now, I feel the need to share it, because I think it's the best way to both learn new things and contribute to the tech landscape.
