Nety & Mila are both members of JUG Indonesia, founders of Duchess Indonesia, and promotors of JENI (Java Education Network Indonesia). JENI is a curriculum created by JUG Indonesia on 2005 and officially adopted by the Ministry of National Education on 2006.
Apart from being a developer, they also have a big concern in IT education in Indonesia, especially in vocational high school students, because they’re also one of the graduates. But in fact, there is a gap between the IT curriculum in vocational school and the industry needs. So to reduce the gap, they held a voluntary roadshow on October 2012 and March 2013 to educate the students with one day free Java training. They visited 32 vocational high schools in 4 cities in Indonesia, by motorcycle, with the aim to teach additional knowledge to IT students, as well as to check on the progress of JENI (Java Education Network Indonesia).
